Detailed workflow guide
Prepare SF2
SF2 uses class attendance records, learner status, dates, and a local template, so it should stay blocked until the attendance period is ready.
Teacher goal
What should I check before previewing or generating SF2 attendance?
Use this guide when this is the task in front of you. Stop if the selected class, learner, role, school year, file, or output does not match.
In-app path

- Open class workspace

- SF2
Get ready
Check the starting point
These are the minimum conditions for the workflow to make sense.
Before you start
Estimated time: About 5–10 minutes
- The correct class and attendance date range
- Saved attendance records for the period
- A supported SF2 template and time to compare totals with the class record
You should see
The SF2 preview shows the intended attendance period, current roster, and totals that match saved attendance.
Steps
Complete the task in order
Review choice points, save or preview behavior, and any stop condition before continuing.

Step 2
Review attendance entries
Check present, absent, late, half-day, and excused marks before previewing the summary.
- 3
Step 3
Check the current roster
Confirm learners withdrawn or otherwise removed from the current local roster are handled correctly for the local class record.
- 4
Step 4
Preview and generate
Use preview to review totals and missing days, then generate only when readiness is clear.
Review
Check these before relying on the work
These checks cover saved, previewed, generated, and teacher-review states.
Attendance period is complete
The selected month or date range should have saved attendance records.
Learner list is current
Roster changes should be reviewed before SF2 totals are trusted.
Template is available
The local SF2 template must be present and readable.
Actual file is reviewed
Open the generated file and inspect totals before use.
File status
Understand what each output label means
The label describes readiness inside GuroAssist; it does not create outside approval.

- Saved on this device for teacher use.
- Draft
- Still needs teacher review or editing.
- Final
- The teacher marked the local work final after review.
- Official-ready
- GuroAssist readiness checks passed; this is not DepEd approval or submission.
- Review-only

- Blocked
- Stop and resolve the displayed readiness issue first.
Blocked states and recovery
Fix the blocker before continuing
Use the direct recovery action when GuroAssist is waiting for setup, data, access, policy, or file readiness.

Safety note
SF2 output must fail closed when required class setup, learner data, attendance period readiness, template readiness, or supported policy and school-year readiness is incomplete.
Finish
Verify the result
Do not treat a saved screen or generated filename as proof that the work is ready.
You’re done when
The SF2 preview shows the intended attendance period, current roster, and totals that match saved attendance.
Privacy, policy, and official-looking outputs
Keep the work inside its safe boundary
These limits remain in force even when the main task appears complete.
Important boundary
Follow the policy and readiness message shown for the selected class and school year. Do not substitute remembered thresholds, quarter templates, or term rules.
Important boundary
Official-ready means GuroAssist readiness checks passed; it is not DepEd approval or submission.
