Detailed workflow guide

Prepare a CPD Undertaking draft

CPD Undertaking helps teachers prepare a local draft, preview wording, export where supported, and review the file carefully before using it outside the app.

Teacher goal

How do I draft a CPD Undertaking without treating it as final?

Use this guide when this is the task in front of you. Stop if the selected class, learner, role, school year, file, or output does not match.

In-app path

  1. CPD Tracker
  2. Undertaking

Get ready

Check the starting point

These are the minimum conditions for the workflow to make sense.

Before you start

Estimated time: About 5–10 minutes

  • The teacher details and undertaking purpose
  • The current local draft wording
  • A review of the exported draft before sharing it

You should see

Undertaking shows a teacher-reviewed local draft and a preview that does not imply PRC approval or submission.

Steps

Complete the task in order

Review choice points, save or preview behavior, and any stop condition before continuing.

    Step 1

    Open the Undertaking workflow

Use the Undertaking tab when renewal prep shows a remaining gap or when the teacher needs a careful local draft.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Complete teacher and license details

Check the teacher profile, PRC license details, renewal cycle, and any required local fields before previewing the draft.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Review the preview wording

Read the draft carefully and correct anything that does not match the teacher's situation or current requirements.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Export only as a draft

If PDF or DOCX export is available, export the file as a local draft and open the actual file before use.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Keep review responsibility with the teacher

Use the draft as preparation only. The teacher should check current PRC/CPDAS requirements before relying on it.

Review

Check these before relying on the work

These checks cover saved, previewed, generated, and teacher-review states.

  • Teacher details are complete

Name, license number, expiration, and renewal details should match the teacher's records.

  • Gap reason is understood

The teacher should understand why an undertaking draft is being prepared.

  • Preview is read

Do not export before reading the preview wording.

  • Exported file is opened

Open the actual PDF or DOCX draft and check formatting, names, dates, and wording.

Blocked states and recovery

Fix the blocker before continuing

Use the direct recovery action when GuroAssist is waiting for setup, data, access, policy, or file readiness.

Safety note

CPD Undertaking outputs are local drafts. They do not certify compliance, waive missing CPD units, or replace the teacher's need to check current PRC/CPDAS requirements.

Finish

Verify the result

Do not treat a saved screen or generated filename as proof that the work is ready.

You’re done when

Undertaking shows a teacher-reviewed local draft and a preview that does not imply PRC approval or submission.
